Dr. Bailin, call him “Jonathan”, has been a certified USPTA Elite Coach and noted sports
medicine author/speaker for over 30 years. While finishing his doctorate in Exercise Physiology
and Biomechanics
with USTA supported research, he coached 9 years with the USC Women’s
Tennis Team. After that, he elevated the Hamilton High School girls and El Camino College
men’s teams to win their championships for the first time ever, in only one season of volunteering.

Jonathan is also globally noted for his publications on repetitive strain computer injuries in the
field of ergonomics (ErgonomicsDr.com). Recently, his publications on Sports Vision Training
(SVT)
for tennis coaches, (TennisDr.com/vt-for-coaches), show that tennis is THE most difficult
sport visually and that everyone’s vision can be improved. See?

What makes a Division I University tennis coach among the best coaches? Because they are
coaching for, and against, roughly equivalent, elite level scholarship athletes where the slightest
nuances can impact the team’s win/loss record. So, Jonathan learned from the west coast college
tennis dynasty makers, then combined his sports medicine research to all his coaching, now for
Michelle Kramer’s USTA Adult League teams. Has all that had an impact? Good question.

Has any USTA Adult League coach had 3 teams simultaneously win their Sectionals and go to
Nationals? No. Here are the 2024 Tremblors, JBees, and Kick Aces enjoying their summer.
